Christ the Servant is a key partner in establishing Strengthening Families in Johnson County. Our congregation is leading a community wide collaborative in partnership with Johnson County Corrections, KVC Behavioral Health, and other faith partners to provide this 14 week program for at risk families in Johnson County. Currently there are 3 cohorts meeting in the county with plans to expand to 4.
Welding Training
In addition, members of our congregation have launched a pilot job training program for welders at the Adult Residential Center. This pilot program will provide 9 weeks of training and offer graduates an opportunity to interview for entry-level welding jobs in light manufacturing companies in Johnson County. The program may expand upon successful completion of the pilot.
